Developer: Jackson Rasmussen
First release : 11 Mar 2020
App size: 33.36 Mb
In Journal360, students can journal about their authentic experiences, share opinions, and exchange ideas on topics ranging from environmental issues such as the impact of industrial carbon use to social issues such as income inequality to philosophical arguments about the nature of free will. The mobile application will process the information that a student writes in the app and match them with another student on campus with interest in that same topic, but perhaps with a different perspective. The objective of Journal360 is to encourage the students to get together for coffee to share ideas.
Description Text: In Journal360, students can journal about their authentic experiences, share opinions, and exchange ideas on topics ranging from environmental issues such as the impact of industrial carbon use to social issues such as income inequality to philosophical arguments about the nature of free will. The mobile application will process the information that a student writes in the app and match them with another student on campus with interest in that same topic, but perhaps with a different perspective. The objective of Journal360 is to encourage the students to get together for coffee to share ideas. My goal is to facilitate deep, intellectually stimulating conversations between students, helping them to explore divergent viewpoints on topics that may not come up in everyday “small talk.” This will foster open-mindedness, inclusiveness, and acceptance--qualities leading to a united yet multifaceted campus community
